For pets & their people
Pet-Friendly Cabins in Big Bear Lake
Every cabin at Colorado Lodge is pet-friendly — two pets per cabin, dogs and cats both welcome, across all six units. One cabin has a private fenced yard. Dog-friendly trails and a dog park within a mile.
A Boutique Mountain Lodge That Actually Wants Your Pet Along
Most Big Bear cabins cap at one pet, charge per pet per night, and make you feel like you're sneaking an animal onto the property. Colorado Lodge takes the opposite approach. All six of our modern cabins welcome up to two pets — dogs, cats, or both — because the property was set up with pet owners in mind from day one.
Whether you're coming for a ski weekend, a summer lake trip, or a reset from city life, your pet comes with you. And there's a cabin on the property built with extra outdoor room for dog parents who want more than just the ability to bring the dog.
A favorite for dog parents
The Place Beyond The Pines / C6
The only cabin on the property with a private fenced yard. A standout for dog parents who want off-leash outdoor space, and still welcoming to cats or any traveling pet.
A Cabin with a Real Yard
C6 is a two-bedroom cabin with a big private fenced yard — the only one at Colorado Lodge. The fence is tall enough to hold most dogs, the yard is generous enough to let them move, and the layout means you can open the back door and let a dog out without a leash or a second thought. For cat parents, the fenced yard makes a quiet, protected outdoor space too.
Beyond the yard, C6 has a private hot tub, a private fire pit with lounge seating, and the best overall privacy placement on the property. It's a premium cabin that happens to be the dog-friendly standout — not a dog-friendly cabin that compromises on the rest.
- Private fenced yard (only at C6)
- Private hot tub on the back porch
- Private fire pit with lounge seating
- Two bedrooms · sleeps 4 · 600+ sq ft plus yard
- Kitchenette with mini fridge · washer/dryer
- Deep tub-shower combo
- Pet-friendly · 2 pets max (dogs and cats welcome)

The Pet Policy
What you need to know before you book.
- Number of pets Up to two pets per cabin, in all six cabins. Dogs, cats, or one of each.
- Pet fee A per-stay pet fee applies. Contact us before booking for current rates.
- Weight limit Reach out with your pet's breed and weight if you're unsure whether they'll fit the policy — we're happy to accommodate most pets.
- Breed restrictions Contact us before booking if you have questions about a specific breed.
- Leash & common areas Dogs must be leashed in all shared areas of the property — including the yoga deck, the community hot tub area, and the fire pit lounge. C6's private fenced yard is the exception: dogs can be off-leash inside the fence. Cats should stay inside the cabin or on a carrier/leash in common areas.
- Inside the cabin Pets are welcome on floors and in beds if that's your house rule. We ask that you don't leave pets unattended in a cabin for long stretches without a crate or carrier — the cabins are quiet, and loud or distressed animals can travel across the property.
- Laundry Every cabin except C5 has a washer/dryer with complimentary laundry pods. C5 guests have access to on-property laundry facilities.
