Colorado Lodge is a design-forward boutique lodge — modern cabins, Nordic-minimalist interiors, twelve hundred happy reviews. We're not the cheapest place in Big Bear, and we're not trying to be. What we can tell you is that our best prices live here, on this website. The OTAs — Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Expedia — each add their own service fees, cleaning-fee markups, and booking commissions on top of our rate. Those add up.

We have a lot of guests who come back — some of our best reviews are from people on their third or fourth stay. The loyalty program is for them. Do I get the same cabin if I book direct versus through Airbnb?
Yes. Every cabin is listed on multiple platforms, but there's only one of each. You'll get the exact same cabin, the same standard, and the same 24-hour guest service — just without the platform fees on top.
Is it really cheaper to book direct?
For most stays, yes — usually by a meaningful margin once you factor in platform service fees and cleaning-fee markups. For stays that qualify for loyalty, midweek, or off-peak rates on top, the gap gets bigger. Compare the total with fees, not just the headline nightly rate.
What happens if I need to change my dates?
Direct-booked guests get routed straight to our team — no platform middle layer. We're reasonable about date changes and rebooking when life gets in the way, and we can often help move your stay without penalty if we have availability.
How do I sign up for the loyalty program?
Join through the newsletter form at the bottom of any page on this site. You'll get the discounted repeat-guest rate, early check-in, and late check-out as soon as you're enrolled — there's no wait.
What if I've never stayed before?
Book direct anyway. You still skip the OTA fees on your first stay, you still get 24-hour guest service, and you're automatically a loyalty member starting with your second booking.
