A hot tub is the best thing about a mountain cabin — the cold air, the steam, the quiet of a pine forest at night. Colorado Lodge leans into it. Two of our six cabins have their own private hot tubs, and every guest has access to a community hot tub that sits at the heart of the property.
A note on accuracy: we do not have a private hot tub in every cabin. Plenty of Big Bear listings imply this and then deliver something else. Here's exactly what we have, and where.

Romance & flagship
Colorado Lodge / C4 — Hot Tub, Fireplace, Spa Bath
C4 is the flagship cabin and the romance pick. The private hot tub sits on the back deck, screened from the rest of the property — steam rising into the pine canopy, not into other cabins' sight lines. Inside, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room and a clawfoot soaking tub in the spa-bath master suite with a floor-to-ceiling forest view.
It's the only cabin at Colorado Lodge with all three — private hot tub, fireplace, and spa bath. For couples who want a full ritual evening after a cold day on the mountain, this is the one.

Pet parents & privacy
The Place Beyond The Pines / C6 — Hot Tub, Fenced Yard, Fire Pit
C6 has the most private outdoor setup on the property. The private hot tub sits inside the cabin's own fenced yard — the only private fenced yard at Colorado Lodge — next to a private fire pit with lounge seating. You can soak while a dog runs around the yard, off-leash, without watching where they go.
It's the hot tub cabin for anyone who wants to bring pets, spread out outdoors, and skip the part where you have to share any of it. Especially popular with dog parents who want real off-leash space, but equally welcoming for cats or any traveling pet. Two bedrooms, sleeps four, still pet-friendly like the rest of the property.

Available to every cabin
The Community Hot Tub
Four of our cabins — C2, C3, C5, and C7 — don't have a private hot tub. What they do have is walking access to the community hot tub at the center of the property, which is professionally maintained every day and open to every guest for the length of their stay.
The community tub sits under the pines near the yoga deck and the community fire pit lounge. On a cold night, with the steam rising and the forest quiet, it's often the best soak on the property — even guests in C4 and C6 wander over to it.
C5 — Small + Mighty — is the closest cabin to the community hot tub. If you're booking C5, you're basically next door.

The romance route
Book C4. Wood-burning fireplace, private hot tub, spa-bath soaking tub. A full-ritual evening — fire first, tub second, hot tub third, bed. The most premium single cabin on the property, and the one designed for a weekend of slow.

Book C6. Private hot tub inside a private fenced yard, next to a private fire pit. A dog can run off-leash, a cat can lounge on the porch, you soak without watching anyone. The most private outdoor setup on the property, full stop.
